The wheel turns the air 90°, and that turn is where the pressure comes from. Kitchens, labs, long duct runs.
A finished front, for rooms where the fan is seen: bathrooms, hotel rooms, offices. Sized for quiet first.
Smoke extraction
The exit has to stay visible.
Smoke banks down from the ceiling. Once the layer drops below head height, nobody can see the way out. Extraction holds it up there, which only works if the fan is still turning when the gas hits 400°C. Ours is, for two hours. It has to keep turning.
